What is the network?
Southern California Home Improvement Referral Service maintains a network of contractors who meet or exceed our stringent criteria and continually maintain these standards. Contractors may only be considered for inclusion in the network by referral. A contractor cannot ask or pay to be included in the network. View a list of trades we offer.

Prospective network contractors are screened one entrance criterion at a time. Without at the very least the required valid current license, bonding, and required insurance, a contractor is never even considered. Contractor's performance history is confirmed with qualifying authoritative agencies attesting to reliability and customer satisfaction. Multiple references are secured; however, only qualifying references are valid and used in the screening process. Expertise in skill and quality craftsmanship, commitment to doing the job right as demonstrated time and again, and only the most ethical of business practices are just some of the traits we seek. The contractor we refer must be someone you can trust.

How does the service work?
When you request a contractor a customer service representative will review your request with you to assure its accuracy and completeness. Then our trained staff will identify candidates personally matched to you, your project and what you’ve described you want. We will confirm the match with the contractors selected and upon approval from the homeowner the parties will be put in touch with one another. Information about the contractors recommended is always provided as requested.

Homeowners are under no obligation to hire contractors referred. The referrals made have been individually customized based on skill level, experience specific to your order, price competitiveness, availability per the homeowners schedule, geographic reach and a host of other qualifying criteria. The service follows up with parties put in touch with each other to insure quality service.

What can I expect?

What does it cost?

There is no charge to the homeowner for using our service. Contractors pay a small fee for new business. It's money they may have otherwise spent on advertising and sales promotion. The relationship between homeowner and contractor is business-as-usual. Homeowners pay contractors directly according to agreed upon terms.
